Voice Lessons
Drum roll, please… I am the Visiting Artist in Residence of Music at Bard College for the 2025-2026 academic season!
I also continue to serve on the faculties of Brooklyn College, William Paterson University, Ramapo College, and American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA).
Private lessons are taught from the AMDA Rehearsal Studios located at 250 W. 54 Street in Manhattan. Please contact me via the Contact page if you are interested in working together. Appointments require 24 hours notice for full refund. Studio space bookings for booked appointments are non-refundable. As a result of the busy academic year ahead, my availability to book individual lessons is limited.
Stay tuned for more exciting news!
Welcome to my voice studio, I am excited to work with you! I teach in several different genres, including classical, pop, Broadway, and jazz.
The pursuit of artistry is a life-long process. Developing a fondness for learning and improving throughout one’s lifetime is an individual responsibility and gift. I look forward to helping you achieve new heights on your journey.
Study voice with me. Because I’m awesome. And hilarious. And modest.
"… what an incredible gem Tami Petty is! I've been working with Tami since moving to New York in 2012 and I feel so lucky to have been introduced to her. As a singer she is nothing short of exquisite. As a teacher and pedagogue she is down-to-earth, relatable, caring, stylistically open (I'm a jazz singer!), and is armed with a staggering knowledge of anatomy and technique. Her instruction has truly made me a better artist. She is simply the best."

She has helped to draw out my most expressive singing on many levels, and cheered me on as I’ve evolved from a more doubtful, passive stance…to one of deeper confidence and lasting joy in the craft.”

She has really changed my singing, and makes me want to be the best version of myself.”
